Care time & family care time

Those who care for relatives are often caught between the demands of their job and the needs of their family. But care and work do not have to be mutually exclusive. With the legal regulations on care leave and family care leave, we are creating space for both - reliably and fairly.

More time for what counts

If an acute care case arises, employees have the option of taking up to 10 days off at short notice - with entitlement to a wage replacement benefit, the so-called care support allowance.

You can also take full or partial leave for a longer period:

  • Care leave: up to 6 months off to care for close relatives
  • Family care leave: reduction of working hours to up to 15 hours per week - for up to 24 months

Financially secure - flexibly designed

During this leave of absence, you can take out an interest-free loan to cover your living expenses. So that care does not become a burden, but a responsible decision that is supported.

Important protection against dismissal included

From the time of notification - at the earliest 12 weeks before the start - and for the entire duration of the care or family care leave, you enjoy statutory protection against dismissal.
