Care in the home
Moving into a care facility is a significant step. For many, it means saying goodbye to their familiar home environment. But it can also be a valuable relief - for those in need of care and relatives alike. In a fully inpatient care facility, you will receive comprehensive care, combined with a social community and a wide range of leisure activities.

What does ZF BKK cover?
We support you with a monthly allowance for care-related expenses, medical treatment and social care. The amount depends on the recognized care level.
Monthly allowances since 01.01.2025:
Degree of care | Allowance |
I | -* |
II | 805 € |
III | 1.319 € |
IV | 1.855 € |
V | 2.096 € |
*For care level I, the relief amount of €131 per month can be used for care costs in the home.
Long-term care - financial relief through service surcharges
To ensure that a longer stay in a care home does not become a financial burden, residents have been receiving a benefit supplement on their own care-related contribution since 2022. The longer the stay, the higher the supplement.
Supplements since 01.01.2024:
Length of stay | Surcharge on personal contribution |
up to 12 months | 15 % |
more than 12 months | 30 % |
more than 24 months | 50 % |
more than 36 months | 75 % |
Important to know: The supplements relate exclusively to the care-related personal contribution. Costs for accommodation, meals and investments are not covered by the care insurance fund and must be borne privately.
